GlobalX and Australian Institute of Conveyancers become Business Partners

Brisbane, 11 June 2013. GlobalX Information and the Australian Institute of Conveyancers (AIC), this week signed a National Business Partnership agreement, further strengthening the commitment of both organisations to shape the future of the conveyancing industry.

Financial institutions, conveyancers and law firms collaboratively participate in more than one million property transactions each year, and a majority of these are considered "in-scope" for electronic conveyancing in Australia.

E-Conveyancing will provide an electronic business environment for conveyancers, and other professionals, to complete a range of property transactions online.

"We are in the midst of one of the most significant changes to property transactions in 100 years, and GlobalX is working closely with peak bodies to develop an e-conveyancing solution that is up to date with the most current way of delivering and receiving information," says Chief Operating Officer, Mr Peter Maloney.

"GlobalX has already established itself as a leader in the conveyancing industry, through our existing range of solutions including litigation support services, settlement, stamping and registration services.

"Our partnership with the AIC will allow us to work with the peak conveyancing body and its members to support all aspects of the current, traditional conveyancing purpose, or in the future via e-Conveyancing," he said.

"The AIC is pleased to be partnering with GlobalX Information to broaden our reach as the peak industry body, particularly as we move into the launch of the electronic conveyancing reform. The AIC is the recognised conduit for providers of services to the conveyancing
profession through its wide ranging business partnership program with selected and valued industry associates who bring value to our members own businesses," said Jeff Stevens, AIC Australian Council President.

The primary objectives of the AIC in each of the five represented states and territory, are to provide a high level of ongoing education and personal development through the Certified Practising Conveyancer (CPC) programme; maintaining a current and topical information flow to members; creating invaluable business opportunities for supporting partners and service providers to the profession; and assisting those entering the property market to find a conveyancing professional to facilitate their transaction.

"We are very pleased to be partnering with the AIC, as GlobalX continues to invest significantly in the conveyancing industry, to provide market-leading solutions for all stakeholders," says Mr Maloney.
